This day was the day that we Singapore separated from Malaysia and become independent... in the morning, our school have a Remembrance ceremony .. it a formal parade.. every schools uniforms groups would match on this special day... then after the parade, we had 2 students reading out the recollection.. it is a poems about the past and present Singapore.. after this, Mdm heng,our principal give the speech written by the MOE...<br />if i not wrong,the last 2 paragraphs of the speech goes like this:<br /> Graceful waves encircling the city skyline of Singapore decline our identity as a people,in this place we are proud to call home.<br /> In terms of <span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">colours</span>, <span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);">orange captures our passion and determination to build a dynamic city of opportunities.</span> <span style="color: rgb(204, 51, 204);">purple embodies dignity and hope as Singaporeans come together to celebrate our nation's independence.</span> <span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">blue signifies our confidence in overcoming challenges and adversities. </span>and <span style="color: rgb(51, 255, 51);">green reflects the grace and harmony of our garden city.</span> this year 2007 theme for NPD is '<span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">City</span> <span style="color: rgb(51, 255, 255);">with</span> <span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);">Possibility</span>'...<br />after the speech given by Mdm heng, our school have give each of every student a souvenir...
